New years resolutions...... Every week of every year I take lots & lots of family photos & I always come up against Mums & Dads saying they don't want to be in any photos themselves. They don't like how they look or they hate having their photo taken! I too am much more in my comfort zone behind the camera rather than standing in front of it. But every week I convince parents that their children will love these images in years to come and hopefully they too will love looking back at how little their little munchkins were in their hands or sitting on their lap - that time goes by so fast they won't remember how little they were. I am forever saying they are only little for a little while & we should capture & freeze these memories as much as we can . But I rarely have my photo taken with my children, the last ones I did do were summer time 2017, so my promise to myself this year is to have more images with my two little ones (& to make their Dad jump in a few too!). They are growing at an alarming rate and getting more and more independent each day. Neevah

I've photographed her big sister Halle before & it was lovely to see her all grown up and totally besotted with her new family addition. Here are some of the images from Neevahs session....

Gorgeous little Lilly-Ella was in the studio with me a the start of Jan and she brought along her handsome big brother Callum I LOVE the green in this image...... Such little cuties - Welcome to the world baby Lilly-Ella (just 18 days new!) xx

My first photoshoot in 2016 was a very precious little lady! She was soooo good and sleepy in studio for me (the more babies sleep the better through a newborn session) Meet little Elsie and she was just 3 days new when she came to see me......The youngest baby ever in my studio!! I know Elsie's Mum (she is my very lovely hairdresser!) and I have photographed Elsies big brother Ollie lots of times before - He was so smitten with his newest family member it was heart melting to watch!! Recent images

So I've decided to start blogging again (something I've stopped doing for over a year now!) I've recently purchased a new studio and things have been more than a little hectic, but now that things are settling down I can share a few of my favourite images from the past year....

Baby Sophie....

Baby Sophie came to me in studio last week and she is the youngest baby I've ever photographed at just 4 days new!

Sophie was a dream to photograph as was her very cute big brother Ioan.  The were both very chilled and happy to be in front of the camera!

Ioan seemed to love the camera and I even managed to get their very talented cake making Mum on board and she will now be supplying cakes for my cake smashes :)

Esme

One of my new years resolutions was to keep up with my blogging and all of a sudden it is Feb and I haven't done any blogging!
So I'm going to do a quick blog of the newborn sessions I've had up until now.

Little Esme was the first newborn I've had in studio in 2014 and she was FAB!

She slept perfectly and was happy to be moved from one pose to another - loved this session great start to 2014 and what a BEAUTIFUL little girl - a pleasure to photograph!

Maisie & Holly

Well I am little behind on my blogging yet again, but its always lovely to catch up on sessions from a few weeks ago....

This is the very gorgeous sisters Holly & Maisie who were in my studio at the start of June.

Having photographed Holly and Maisie's parents wedding, this was a very lovely session and a great opportunity to catch up with some past customers.

The session went so so well, little Maisie slept like a dream, Holly was fab and had loads of fun on my ipad and showing me the apps she likes to play on, and Dad was a brilliant spotter and kept little Maisie safe and sound standing right beside her through all the shots we took.
Unfortunately for Dad we have deleted him out as spotter.....its all about the girls ;) 

Brilliant session, I loved every minute....welcome to the world baby Maisie & lovely to meet little Holly again.....

Three times the fun....

I had the huge pleasure of photographing three little babies together in June....yes TRIPLETS!

I couldn't have been more excited and spent hours and hours researching newborn triplet pictures on the internet until all hours of the morning.

The babies arrived to my studio on 16th June at just over 3 weeks new. And all 3 tiny babies were just adorable!

The session went surprisingly well and lasted just under 3 hours....I have had longer sessions for just one baby!! I considered having an assistant photographer with me to help pose the babies, but glad I decided not to in the end as the babies Dad was fantastic at helping me with posing the babies.

I entered one of my images in the monthly competition for the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the first image below was Highly Commended in the competition.

It has been one of the best shoots I have done in my two years photographing newborn babies, and I am very pleased with the beautiful images I have captured.

Catch up!

Well, I have left my blog unloved and unattended for months! I have had a whirlwind 2013, and can't believe we have landed in the middle of June already.
Last year I used to blog how each and every session went for me and all about the little cuties that come to visit my studio, but with the huge number of bookings and revamping my studio it has not had much attention....

So I don't leave any of the little newborns I've photographed this year out of my blogging I've attached a few images from my favorite images from this year......and have made myself a promise to keep update from now on!
